About

Mere Snow (she/they) MS, ATR-BC, LCAT
a clinician, educator, and artist. I develop and sustain innovative Creative & Expressive Arts Programming for the public and private sector in the greater San Francisco Bay area. I offer nature based Art Therapy Services in Alameda, California. I am a California Certified Naturalist and I bring this knowledge to my Nature Based Art Therapy practice. This exciting initiative from the University of California taught in partnership with the Point Reyes National Seashore Association (PRNSA) enables people to engage with community level actions that address climate change and promotes stewardship of the land.

I enjoy wearing many hats — including that of clinician, supervisor, content creator, program developer, artist, educator, workshop facilitator, spouse, and mother. I have worked as a pediatric medical art therapist at Stanford Children’s Hospital, an art therapist at UCSF Langley Porter Hospital and Clinics, San Francisco Department of Public Health, John Muir Behavioral Health and Stanford Adult Hospital. I have also taught 7th grade science and art as well as art K-12 and science K-5. With extensive experience in mental health and addictions, as well as children with medically complex conditions, I have been able to hone my skills to many different populations. 15 years of clinical experience in various settings, brings a certain passion for offering nature based art therapy and the healing it provides.

I am part of and work within the LGBTQAII+ community where I have brought nationally recognized individuals such as Ari Istar-Lev and Willy Wilkinson to present to healthcare professionals to ensure adequate care for trans individuals and their families.

This Spring join us at the state conference :California Association of Environmental and Outdoor Educators: Nature Based Expressive Arts with LGBTQ+ Youth. In addition to this, I am the co-founder of an art therapy start-up where I develop art therapy content for our mobile platform that serves children and families.
