Blending Art, Nature and Healing

I hold a Master of Science in Art Therapy from Nazareth University and am licensed in New York State as a Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT). I am also a registered and board-certified art therapist (ATR-BC) through the Art Therapy Credentials Board and a New York State–credentialed K–12 art teacher.

In addition, I am a California Certified Naturalist, with training in the natural resources and cultural history of places including Crab Cove on Muwekma Ohlone land and Point Reyes National Seashore on Coast Miwok land. I am also a Certified Geriatric Care Professional.

My work is grounded in the belief that healing in nature fosters a deeper connection to the land, inspiring us to protect it and serve as responsible stewards of the places we call home.

I have worked with all ages and developmental stages of life: children, families, couples, I have specialized in medically complex children, refugees in the midst of relocation, people experiencing ADHD, autism, depression, anxiety, grief and loss at every stage of life. I am currently the Director at the Downtown Oakland senior center.

I strive to provide culturally relevant art therapy, which means I make attempts to meet clients where they are and consider their life experience as well as challenging my own ideas of hierarchy.
